Reopening to Students in July

The Bridge Teen Center will reopen in July and begin summer programming on a limited basis both in-person and through Zoom following the COVID-19 pandemic. Please carefully review all of the information below for complete details.

COVID-19 Information

The Bridge will be implementing new safety guidelines and modifications to provide a clean and healthy experience for students. See specific COVID-19 safety information here. We would like to thank those who helped support our safety modifications, including: NuMark Credit Union and Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago, PolyJohn, Custom Plate Glass in Posen,, and those who purchased items from our Amazon “Post Pandemic” Wish List.

New Student Members

Student membership is FREE to teens in 7th -12th grade. Beginning this Summer, students entering 7th grade in the Fall are now eligible for Bridge membership. Students and their parents/guardians may apply for membership online RIGHT HERE. Typically new student members and families are welcomed at our big annual Open House event. Due to the pandemic, we were unable to host this event this year. As an alternative, we are offering "family tours" by appointment (see details below).

Family Tours

New students and their families may schedule a tour of our space, meet our staff, and learn more about The Bridge Teen Center. Tours will last approximately 20 minutes. Although a tour is not required for membership, they are encouraged so students can see the facility and get to know us.  To schedule a tour, call 708.532.0500 or email [email protected]. Please include the first and last name of your teen in the email or voicemail.

July Programs

During the month of July, we will offer a mixture of in-person programs and an expanded menu of virtual programs through Zoom. Programming will begin on Tuesday, July 14th  and will be held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (during the day). All programs will be limited to groups of 10 or less, and students will only be permitted to sign up for one program per day and two programs per week. In lieu of our traditional large Friday NIGHT gatherings, we will offer expanded daytime programming on Fridays. Drop-in hours have been suspended until further notice.

Important Dates:

  • Wed., June 17 – The July Program Magazine has been released. Physical copies are available 24 hours a day outside our front door, or at The Bridge Thrift Store during operating hours. If you wish to print your own Program Magazine on 11" x 8.5" paper, click here.
  • Mon., June 22 – Program sign-up begins at NOON. Student members can sign up through the Student Portal at Login credentials are required (for new students, your login will be emailed when membership is approved).

No Drop-In Hours

For the time being, all students must be signed up in advance for a program in order to attend The Bridge Teen Center. Drop-In hours and weekly Friday night activities have been suspended until further notice. Announcements will be made when Friday night events and drop-in hours resume. Please do not drop off a student unless he/she is signed-up for a program, as we will have to call you to come back and pick them up.
