Developing Student Leaders at The Bridge

Developing Student Leaders at The Bridge

We love seeing Bridge students empowered to lead and inspire other students at The Bridge Teen Center.

One way we do this is through our Student Ambassador program. These students take part in leadership training that includes team-building activities and interactive learning. They also have opportunities to lead programs during the semester and serve at Friday night events, helping run different parts of the night and connecting with other students.

It is always inspiring to see students step up and lead. This winter, two of our student ambassadors, Paige and Alex, teamed up to lead a handmade pasta culinary program. Several years ago, they became friends during a culinary program at The Bridge, and now they have come full circle by leading a culinary program of their own.

Another student, Lucy, who has an incredible talent for art, led a drawing program last semester and is looking forward to leading another art program this semester, this time focusing on oil pastels. For Lucy, art is more than just a hobby. “Art is a way to express myself. It is a go-to when I am stressed because I can express my emotions through it,” she shared.

We are constantly encouraged by our students and their incredible desire to grow in leadership. To support our mission and help create more opportunities like these, visit thebridgeteencenter.org.

Thank you, Marquette Bank, for sponsoring The Bridge Bulletin this semester.
