The How vs. Bridge Myths

How did The Bridge get started?

The Bridge is a locally-grown, award-winning 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that started as an idea around a kitchen table and has thrived on the support of the community since 2010. Read more about our story here.

How can you do this for FREE?

Finances should never be a barrier for students to gain access to our life-changing holistic programs. Our team works hard at raising funds each year to cover our sizable operating budget. This keeps our programs free for families like yours.

How are you funded?

We are supported by the community. This includes proceeds from The Bridge Thrift Store, grants from foundations, donations from businesses and other entities, and the support of individuals like you.

How are donations used?

92 cents of every dollar raised directly supports our students. This exceeds the Better Business Bureau's charitable standard by a significant margin. Simply stated, the support we receive is invested in the lives of the students we serve.

While we do receive grants and gifts from businesses, foundations and generous donors, we rely on support at ALL levels to keep our doors open.

My modest donation won't make a difference. - FALSE

We are built on the support of the entire community. As such, $5 is just as important as $50,000. We believe every dollar represents a direct investment in the lives of the students we serve.
