Bridge Volunteers Incredible Impact in Students’ Lives

Our volunteers play a vital role in helping us accomplish our mission, and we are deeply grateful for their support. Through our programs and events, we see firsthand the impact they make in the lives of the students’ we serve.

Karla, a registered dietician and culinary program volunteer, has served at The Bridge for the past 8 years. She has taught students how to make many unique dishes like jambalaya, Spanish appetizers, and Cuban bowls. Through these experiences, teens have gained many valuable skills and developed a deeper appreciation for healthy living.

Monica joined our volunteer family last year and serves at both our teen center and thrift store. She loves to help with afterschool programs, Friday night events, and her favorite activity at the thrift store is organizing books. “The Bridge is an oasis to teens to help them find themselves and find support,” shared Monica. “My favorite thing about volunteering is being able to contribute in a small way to the wonderful teen programs.”

Nick is another volunteer who recently started volunteering at The Bridge, helping with Friday night events. With a big heart for students, he is always ready to lend a helping hand. We are incredibly grateful for the positive impact he brings to these events, helping to provide students with a safe space and social outlet on Friday nights.

The impact our volunteers have at The Bridge is undeniable, and we are extremely thankful that they choose to share their time and talents with us. If you would like to get involved and volunteer, visit our website and click here or email [email protected].
