Global Youth Service Day is the largest community service event in
the world, and the only event dedicated to celebrating the contributions
that young people make to their communities year-round. Several Chicago
Southland area schools, churches, and organizations will join forces,
on Saturday, April 22 from 9 am - 12 pm, to lead a collection drive for
The Bridge Thrift Store.
Option 1:
Students lead a collection drive for The Bridge Thrift Store anytime during March 1st – April 21st.
Option 2:
On
Saturday, April 22nd from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm, students serve by sorting
items brought by schools/groups that participated in the collection
drive. Groups may choose to participate in one or both of the options above. Advanced sign-up is required.
Students who lead a drive or serve on April 22nd will receive a FREE GYSD t-shirt for participating. T-shirts are offered on a first come/first serve basis. To sign up individuals click here. To sign up your group (high school only), contact amanda@thebridgeteencenter.org or 708.532.0500.
