How well do you know your coffee? Put your knowledge to the test by becoming a part of the coffee production process. Coffee is a global industry and it travels a long way to get to you — from the farm, to the exporter/importer, to the roaster, to the store and finally to your cup. Hear from the owner of Connect Roasters, a local coffee company, whose mission is to benefit everyone in the coffee production chain.

First, we’ll actually roast the coffee seeds. Learn how to control the color and taste of the seeds by adjusting the temperature of the roasting machine. Next, grind the seeds and brew for the best flavor! Sample coffees from all over the world and you’ll walk away knowing how to regulate and taste the difference between light and dark roasts.

Important Attendance Policy:

Out of respect to our volunteers, please be sure you can attend the programs you sign up for. Confirmation calls or text messages are made 48-72 hours prior to every program. If you do not respond to our confirmation call within 24 hours of the program, a student on the waiting list will fill your spot. If a student is a "no show" for 2 or more programs, they will be automatically placed on the waiting list for other programs they have signed up for during that semester. 48 hours notice is required for all cancellations.
