PROGRAM SUPPORT STAFF

Under the leadership of the Program Directors, the Program Support Staff will provide direct support in the specific area of afterschool programming, including set-up and tear-down, front desk support, assisting with specific programs, and interacting with students during hangout times. This is a part-time position working 8-15 hours per week Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays after school.

RESPONSIBILITIES AS A TEAM MEMBER INCLUDE:

  1. Regular pray for the organization, our leadership, and those we serve.
  2. Oversee activity on floor as assigned during afterschool hours.
  3. Welcome and assist with student membership needs and lead students to assigned program to insure a safe, warm, and learning environment.
  4. Make introductions, help kick-off, and monitor programs to maintain flow during after school.
  5. Responsible for helping set up and clean up after events and programs and help close center.
  6. Welcome and direct volunteers and interns for scheduled program and after school positions.
  7. Provide information and guidance to parents or adults in keeping with our safety policies during student hours.
  8. Help build intentional and influential relationships with teens and manage student behavior.
  9. Provide program administrative support to the Program Directors; including administrative help of the student database, including student care data, data entry and data clean-up as assigned.
  10. Participate in Student Care Plan by communicating student situations or behavior that needs special attention.
  11. Work with other staff in providing feedback for creating new program ideas and events.
  12. Respond to program confirmation calls and voicemails in a positive manner, as needed.
  13. Support in the on-boarding of new students by making calls / mailings to parents and welcoming them and answer general questions regarding membership and participation.
  14. Other duties as assigned by the Program Directors.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

We are seeking someone with a genuine call to work with students. Position lends itself to a college-age student seeking a degree in education, social work, youth ministry and other related majors. Must be passionate about loving and serving teenagers, with a strong desire to grow in that service. Strong personal integrity and communication skills are required.
