Retail & Merchandising Internship

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Retail & Merchandising Intern to join our team at The Bridge Thrift Store. The ideal candidate will assist in creating, organizing and displaying merchandise to enhance the shopping experience and drive sales.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

  1. Assisting in the design and implementation of store displays and layouts.
  2. Help curate merchandise in order to create visual store displays for holidays.
  3. Research and design “story display” storyboards for upcoming holidays.
  4. Create fashion statement displays for men and women.
  5. Responsible for maintaining display cabinets for visual appeal.
  6. Organizing and maintaining merchandise, and ensuring products are properly labeled and priced.
  7. Monitoring inventory levels and assisting with restocking as needed.
  8. Providing excellent customer service and assisting shoppers with their inquiries.
  9. Participating in pop-up store events and promotions to engage with customers and boost sales.

      MUST POSSESS:

      1. Passion for the mission of The Bridge Teen Center.
      2. Basic knowledge of retail operations and merchandising principles.
      3. Familiarity with visual merchandising techniques.
      4. Creativity in designing attractive and effective displays.
      5. Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
      6. Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
      7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
      8. Ability to analyze sales data and identify trends.
      9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including both writing and verbal.
      10. Personal and professional integrity.
      11. Strong organizational skills.
      12. The ability to lift more than 15 to 20 pounds.
      13. A sense of humor.

      SUCCESSFUL INTERNSHIP/PARTNERSHIP:

      It is the desire of the Bridge Teen Center, through our internship program, for each intern to experience hands-on training in a career area of interest and develop practical leadership skills for the future. We encourage interns to:
