Package seed packets to promote milkweed plant growth (one of butterflies’ favorite plants) with our friends from the University of Illinois Extension. They are passionate about helping the butterfly population flourish! The monarch butterfly is known around the world for the challenging and impressive migration that it makes every year from North America to Mexico (right around this time of year). Recently, less and less butterflies have been returning. This population is in danger due to various reasons – from agro-industrial chemicals to changes in weather. The good news is that you can help! See what steps you can take to help the monarch butterfly population in your own backyard. Community service hours given.

Thank you to Bettenhausen Auto for sponsoring programs in the Life Skills Workshop this semester.

Important Attendance Policy:

Out of respect to our volunteers, please be sure you can attend the programs you sign up for. Confirmation calls or text messages are made 48-72 hours prior to every program. If you do not respond to our confirmation call within 24 hours of the program, a student on the waiting list will fill your spot. If a student is a "no show" for 2 or more programs, they will be automatically placed on the waiting list for other programs they have signed up for during that semester. 48 hours notice is required for all cancellations.
