DEVELOPMENT & FUNDRAISING INTERNSHIP

Under the leadership of the Director of Marketing & Partnerships, the intern will gain hands-on experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, corporate partnerships, sponsorship development, grant support, and fundraising communications while helping advance the mission of The Bridge Teen Center.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

  1. Assist with research and identification of potential corporate, foundation, and community funding opportunities. 

  2. Support sponsorship development through prospecting research, outreach, follow-up, relationship management, and sponsor stewardship.

  3. Prepare and coordinate donor communications, including acknowledgement letters, thank-you message, and other stewardship materials.

  4. Assist with planning, promoting, and executing The Bridge Teen Center’s Empowering Teens Month initiative.

  5. Support the planning and execution of community engagement and fundraising events.

  6. Assist with collecting program statistic, success stories, photos, and other information used in fundraising communications.

  7. Support the development team in the creation and execution of our donor mailing campaign. 

  8. Help develop compelling stories and impact-focused content that demonstrates how donor support benefits local teens.

  9. Perform other development-related duties and projects as assigned.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Ability to think outside of the box.
  2. Proficient in Adobe programs including: InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  3. Familiar with Google suite including: Google Docs and Google Email.
  4. Resourcefulness, ability to take initiative, and able to work both independently and as a team.
  5. Highly organized, responsible, and detail oriented.
  6. Outstanding communication skills.
  7. Enrolled in accredited college or university working towards a degree in Art or Graphic Design.
  8. Bonus - Photography skills.
  9. Bonus - Video and editing skills.

  11. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including both writing and verbal.

It is the desire of The Bridge Teen Center, through our internship program, for each student to experience hands-on training in a career area of interest and develop practical leadership skills for the future.  We encourage interns to:
