Interested in health care and helping people to feel better? A chiropractor (Doctor of Chiropractic, to be exact) is a licensed healthcare professional who prevents, diagnoses, and treats problems that can happen in the musculoskeletal system, specifically the spine. They use hands-on methods like quick movements and exercises that can sometimes help instantly. Work in partners or small groups and do optional simulated assessments like single leg stability, rotation control, and calf raises. The big idea behind this is the testing of movement, observing any weak links, implementing the key exercise, then retesting and observing the changes that happened. We’ll focus on the function of the body and how the brain controls our movement and how adaptable the body is in real time. Every movement and exercise will be clearly instructed and demonstrated so everyone is safe and comfortable. Sign up for this really unique program and find out if you have a passion for chiropractic work!
All Community Connections programs are sponsored in part by Old National Bank.
Important Attendance Policy:
Out of respect to our volunteers, please be sure you can attend the programs you sign up for. Confirmation calls or text messages are made 48-72 hours prior to every program. If you do not respond to our confirmation call within 24 hours of the program, a student on the waiting list will fill your spot. If a student is a "no show" for 2 or more programs, they will be automatically placed on the waiting list for other programs they have signed up for during that semester. 48 hours notice is required for all cancellations.
