Calling all who geek out on science! Hang out with the super bright ComEd team members and consume the interesting (and important for our earth!) complexities about climate change. Build a greenhouse with a beaker, water, balloon, and Alka Seltzer tablets and explore the properties of carbon dioxide. (Sorry, you won’t be able to take it home because ComEd uses them to impact TONS of students just like you!) In small groups, create a web out of string to show the interconnectedness of climate change variables. If you’re feeling especially brave that day, develop a mock grant pitch for a program that will help educate the community about or combat against climate change. Finally, hear first-hand from ComEd professionals about careers in electric power. You may be surprised at what’s at your fingertips. Sign up with a friend!

Important Attendance Policy:
Out of respect to our volunteers, please be sure you can attend the programs you sign up for. Confirmation calls or text messages are made 48-72 hours prior to every program. If you do not respond to our confirmation call within 24 hours of the program, a student on the waiting list will fill your spot. If a student is a "no show" for 2 or more programs, they will be automatically placed on the waiting list for other programs they have signed up for during that semester. 48 hours notice is required for all cancellations.
