You’re officially (or almost officially) on Thanksgiving break, so get out of the house and spend your time giving back! Help out at The Bridge Thrift Store, which supports all the free programs you and your friends enjoy at the teen center. Also, thrift stores are an important part of a community because they encourage repurposing and provide goods at an affordable price. Tasks will include sorting, cleaning and shelving donated items. Community service hours given.
This program takes place during Empowering Teens Month, which is held annually in November as a way to recognize the impact of afterschool programs for teens. It's also your chance to "pay it forward" and support The Bridge's free programs! For more information about how you can volunteer individually or as a group/family, click on the "donate" tab at thebridgeteencenter.org.
Important Attendance Policy:
Out of respect to our volunteers, please be sure you can attend the programs you sign up for. Confirmation calls or text messages are made 48-72 hours prior to every program. If you do not respond to our confirmation call within 24 hours of the program, a student on the waiting list will fill your spot. If a student is a "no show" for 2 or more programs, they will be automatically placed on the waiting list for other programs they have signed up for during that semester. 48 hours notice is required for all cancellations.
