Let’s walk a few blocks away from The Bridge to spend a few hours creating blessing bags, complete with toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, Bombas socks, and more). We’ll be partnering with All God’s People, which is a local non-profit that collects and organizes donated items to be given to individuals in Chicago as well as the suburbs. AGP regularly offers these items with respect and love for the people, but they need people like us to sort and organize the donated items. You may feel like you live a long way away from the city, but there are real people living on the streets in our own hometown, and there is something you can do about it. Come help! Community service hours will be given.
IMPORTANT: This program will take place at an offsite location. Students will travel on The Bridge Bus to All God’s People, located at 15554 S. 70th Court in Orland Park. Must have "Permission to Transport" indicated on Student Membership Application.
Online sign-up for this program (and all other April & May programs) will begin on Wednesday, March 12th at 7pm. Set a reminder to come back and sign up on/after March 12th!
Thank you to Roots of Resilience for sponsoring "On Mission Month" programs in April.
All Community Connections programs are sponsored in part by Old National Bank.
Important Attendance Policy:
Out of respect to our volunteers, please be sure you can attend the programs you sign up for. Confirmation calls or text messages are made 48-72 hours prior to every program. If you do not respond to our confirmation call within 24 hours of the program, a student on the waiting list will fill your spot. If a student is a "no show" for 2 or more programs, they will be automatically placed on the waiting list for other programs they have signed up for during that semester. 48 hours notice is required for all cancellations.
