Are you close with your grandparent(s)? Or do you have an older person in your life that you admire and like spending time with? Bring them to The Bridge for our Grandparents Hangout! Show them around one of your favorite places (ahem… The Bridge), introduce them to your friends (staff and volunteers too) and play a game or two. For those who want to shop, we’ll be heading over to The Bridge Thrift Store. All students that shop and show their Bridge ID at checkout will receive 20% Off* their purchase and their grandparent’s purchase.
To convince you further that you should sign up, did you know that intergenerational connections can positively impact mental health by fostering a sense of belonging, reducing isolation, and promoting cognitive and emotional well-being across all ages. Important Attendance Policy:
Out of respect to our volunteers, please be sure you can attend the programs you sign up for. Confirmation calls or text messages are made 48-72 hours prior to every program. If you do not respond to our confirmation call within 24 hours of the program, a student on the waiting list will fill your spot. If a student is a "no show" for 2 or more programs, they will be automatically placed on the waiting list for other programs they have signed up for during that semester. 48 hours notice is required for all cancellations.
