Sarah Scott

Volunteer & Intern Coordinator

Sarah Scott

Sarah grew up in Evergreen Park and is a recent graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she earned her BS in Psychology and BS in Sociology. This Fall, she will begin pursuing her Master of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Sarah first joined The Bridge as a Program Intern during the Summer of 2023, where she discovered a passion for working with teenagers and contributing to the program team. She loves that The Bridge offers students free programs that build skills, help develop friendships, and provide a place to escape from the outside world.

Now serving as the Volunteer & Intern Coordinator, Sarah is responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and placing interns and non-program volunteers. She works closely with the program team to develop ongoing training, education, and team-building initiatives. In her role, Sarah also processes volunteer applications, updates and maintains the internal shift schedules for both interns and volunteers, and strives to enhance the volunteer experience at The Bridge by fostering a positive and supportive environment.

In her free time, Sarah enjoys iced coffee, crocheting, reading, yoga, listening to music, and being involved in youth ministry. She loves anything involving superheroes, sports, and of course, Taylor Swift. Like our Founder Priscilla, Sarah believes that Lynda Carter is the one and only Wonder Woman.
