Joy Lavens

Joy Lavens grew up in Oak Forest and attended Oak Forest High School. She holds an undergraduate degree from Olivet Nazarene University and a master's degree in Organizational Leadership, along with nonprofit certification.

Prior to working at the Bridge, Joy worked in camping ministry.

As the Director of Student Care & Programs at The Bridge Teen Center, Joy is a part of our leadership team providing direction with program planning, annual signature events, and the ongoing care of our students. Joy has a heart for serving others. She likes making relationships with the students and parents of the Bridge.

She enjoys eating guacamole, reading, visiting the National Parks, serving at her church, and running marathons.
