Gain insight on how to become an advocate for animals in need. Learn all about the mission of NAWS Humane Society, a no-kill shelter that re-homes about 2,500 homeless animals per year. The friendly volunteers will be sharing a bit about pet overpopulation and how us “hoomans” can do our part to help manage it. Also, hear* how intentional and compassionate care of animals that have been neglected or abused can completely turn their lives around. From hopeless to hopeful! They are almost positive that they can bring an animal or two, but it depends on the sweet furr babies in their care at the time. Anything is paw-sibble, so make sure you sign up with a friend!
*IMPORTANT: All stories will be tastefully and sensitively shared as well as age-appropriate.
Important Attendance Policy:
Out of respect to our volunteers, please be sure you can attend the programs you sign up for. Confirmation calls or text messages are made 48-72 hours prior to every program. If you do not respond to our confirmation call within 24 hours of the program, a student on the waiting list will fill your spot. If a student is a "no show" for 2 or more programs, they will be automatically placed on the waiting list for other programs they have signed up for during that semester. 48 hours notice is required for all cancellations.
