It’s considered a sign of strength and determination to “power through” the school day on the smallest amount of sleep from the night before. Some may even brag amount how little sleep they actually get. This belief and behavior could do more damage than we think. In fact, many professional sports teams use sleep physicians to optimize athletes' sleep for enhanced performance. If professional athletes understand the connection between good sleep and overall health, shouldn’t we? 

Create a sleep journal, so you can start keeping track of how much time you get on a regular basis. Practice some relaxation and breathing techniques too, as a part of a healthy bedtime ritual. Explore tips and tricks on how to make sleep a priority so you can thrive, not just survive the school day.

Important Attendance Policy:

Out of respect to our volunteers, please be sure you can attend the programs you sign up for. Confirmation calls or text messages are made 48-72 hours prior to every program. If you do not respond to our confirmation call within 24 hours of the program, a student on the waiting list will fill your spot. If a student is a "no show" for 2 or more programs, they will be automatically placed on the waiting list for other programs they have signed up for during that semester. 48 hours notice is required for all cancellations.
