Calling all adventurous foodies! Construct a few brightly-colorful, uniquely-tasty, and good-for-you dishes. Start out with a persimmon smoothie. Huh? A persimmon is an Asian fruit that looks like a squashed orange tomato. You can actually eat it like an apple or peel and cut it up into slices. For your smoothie, combine persimmon, almond milk, and cinnamon, ginger, and clove spices.
Next up, make caramelized butternut squash. This is a fruit that has a sweet, nutty flavor. Cut the squash into small pieces, toss them in a brown sugar mixture, and bake them in the oven. Fruit covered in sugar? Yes, please!
Your final dish will be a crispy squash and persimmon salad. Cut up both fruits, add them to a bed of greens, and toss in some nuts, chili flakes, and blue cheese. Are you with us?
