Do you want to work with your hands to make furniture, sculpture, and DIY ideas come alive? Get some hands-on experience in the state-of-the-art woodworking shop at Rockler Woodworking. Associates will teach you how to build a wooden candle holder using industrial tools and techniques. What a unique gift for a friend, right? Or you can simply freshen up your family’s living room. Either way, this is a great opportunity to grow in a skill that will last you a lifetime! Must wear close-toed shoes and non-loose clothing.
*For this program students will travel in The Bridge Bus to an offsite location. They will be going to Rockler Woodworking, located at 15758 S. LaGrange Road in Orland Park. Must have ‘Permission to Transport’ indicated on Student Membership Application (check your Student Portal to make sure).
**FOR THIS PROGRAM, A PARENT/GUARDIAN MUST COMPLETE A WAIVER IN ORDER FOR THEIR CHILD TO PARTICIPATE, which can be found by clicking HERE or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. The waiver must be submitted by the program date otherwise the student will not be able to participate.

Important Attendance Policy:
Out of respect to our volunteers, please be sure you can attend the programs you sign up for. Confirmation calls or text messages are made 48-72 hours prior to every program. If you do not respond to our confirmation call within 24 hours of the program, a student on the waiting list will fill your spot. If a student is a "no show" for 2 or more programs, they will be automatically placed on the waiting list for other programs they have signed up for during that semester. 48 hours notice is required for all cancellations.
