Our friends from Little Red Schoolhouse Nature Center are bringing their North American corn snake for you to meet. Learn about natural biology and specifically how this snake contributes to the ecosystem. The corn snake has an attractive orange/brown/black scale pattern, is three to four feet long, and does not have any functional venom, so you’ll get to touch its skin if you’re bold enough! Next time you’re out hiking in the woods or gardening, know how to identify this critter instead of freaking out. These snakes are also beneficial to humans, so come and see why!

Educational Support programs this summer are sponsored by Huntington Learning Center.

Important Attendance Policy:

Out of respect to our volunteers, please be sure you can attend the programs you sign up for. Confirmation calls or text messages are made 48-72 hours prior to every program. If you do not respond to our confirmation call within 24 hours of the program, a student on the waiting list will fill your spot. If a student is a "no show" for 2 or more programs, they will be automatically placed on the waiting list for other programs they have signed up for during that semester. 48 hours notice is required for all cancellations.
