Meet Dr. Nick, and discover the nine things he learned in medical school (other than, you know, the medical stuff). Find out how much studying and homework a med student actually has to do and the real life experiences in the hospitals that he went through to learn how to be a doctor. Hear first-hand about what he learned about success through his experiences in the ER along with his personal journey of highs and lows to achieving his career goals. What does “being the last to speak” and “writing hand-written notes” have to do with success? Come find out! This program is not just for students interested in entering a career in the medical field! Come participate in hands-on activities that will engage your leadership skills and get you practicing the habits and thinking skills that every successful leader (including medical professionals) need to know.
Educational Support programs this summer are sponsored by Huntington Learning Center.
Important Attendance Policy:
Out of respect to our volunteers, please be sure you can attend the programs you sign up for. Confirmation calls are made 48-72 hours prior to every program. If you do not respond to our confirmation call within 24 hours of the program, a student on the waiting list will fill your spot. If a student is a "no show" for 2 or more programs, they will be automatically placed on the waiting list for other programs they have signed up for during that semester. 48 hours notice is required for all cancellations.
