Bring your lawn chair and take a big whiff of buttered popcorn because it’s outdoor movie night! Tonight on the big screen we’ll be playing Jurassic World in honor of the new release Jurassic World 2. Get here early to get a good spot. Inside, we’ll be testing your knowledge and creativity as we push the limits of Wikipedia and our Thesaurus in an epic installment of the Wikisaurus Rex Rumble. You will not want to miss this night so don’t forget your lawn chair (and make sure your name is marked on your chair) and invite a friend!
After you’ve had your fill of popcorn, don’t forget to make your way to the kitchen to sample some mouthwatering BBQ from the brand new City Barbeque in Orland Park. Our interactive Art Studio will be open for all featuring a constant stream of new projects and ideas on the big screen! Get crafty with washi tape, paper crafting materials, felt, fabrics, brush pens, markers, and more! Create a work of art with fine art materials like white or black charcoal, graphite, blending sticks, oil pastels, soft pastels, and acrylic and watercolor paints. We have it all for you to let your imagination to run wild and create!
If our wonderful Chicago weather does not cooperate and it rains on our parade, the Outdoor Movie Night will be moved to Friday, June 29. Follow us on Facebook or Instagram to stay updated!
Open to 7th – 12th graders – FREE with student membership application on file.
