Now you can text us to confirm your spot in programs!

Hey Students & Parents!

We have some exciting news. You’ve all probably received phone calls from us to confirm your attendance at our afterschool programs. We’ve left you a voicemail, you’ve left us a voicemail, we’ve played phone tag, etc. We LOVE growth, however, with 350+ afterschool programs planned for 2017, making over 4,000 separate confirmation calls is challenging to say the least.

So in true Bridge fashion, we’re improving things.

Beginning this month, you will receive confirmation text messages for each program you are signed-up for instead of a phone call. You will receive one text for EACH SEPARATE PROGRAM you are signed up for, and you’ll need to respond to each text individually.

You will be prompted to RSVP for your program via text with a simple “Y” or “N” response. Texts will be sent to the STUDENT CELL PHONE we have on file.  You may update this information under the “Update Profile Information” section of the Student Portal (at www.thebridgeteencenter.org). This is the phone number field located closest to the top of the page. You must update this field specifically.

Please note that we are not able to text both students and parents at this time. If your student does not have a cell phone, please update the Student Portal with whatever cell phone number you have that is text-friendly if you wish to take advantage of this easy-to-use service. Or, if you prefer, you can email your preferred cell phone number (with your student’s name) to help@thebridgeteencenter.org.

If your student is responding on their own using their cell phone, please be sure they are providing us with accurate responses to the text confirmations. If inaccurate confirmations happen repeatedly, sign-up privileges may be jeopardized. Remember, our ongoing attendance policy is still in force (outlined below).

Those who do not respond to texts will still be called. As a reminder, confirmation calls are made 48-72 hours prior to every program. If you do not respond to our call within 24 hours of the program, a student on the waiting list will fill your spot. If a student is a "no show" for 2 or more programs, they will be automatically placed on the waiting list for other programs they have signed up for during that semester. 48 hours notice is required for all cancellations.
