The Bridge Teen Center believes students don’t just live in a community, but they are part of a community. Community Connections provides a bridge for families, schools, churches, and organizations/businesses in our neighborhood. For families, we host special parent seminars and round tables as well as referring for family counseling. We reinforce the educational process and make ourselves available to schools during parent/teacher conferences and back to school nights. We also provide supervision during unsupervised hours/holidays when schools are not open. We network with pastors and ministry leaders to support and be a resource for the local church and vice versa. We invite the local business community and organizations to come alongside students to teach and share their trade and skills to instill and help young people develop their knowledge base, work ethic, and reveal a possible future.
For example:
- Special Seminars and Round Tables for Parents of Teens
- Community Open House
- Community Outreach and Service Projects
- Supervision during work hours / holidays
- Referrals for Family Counseling
- FAFSA /College Financial Aid Clinics for Parents of Teens
- Special Presentations from youth workers/professionals
- “How to” seminars led by community business people and trade specialists
For the safety and well-being of The Bridge Teen Center family, every student needs a student membership application on file. Click HERE for an application.
