Parent programs at the Bridge Teen Center are designed to support and encourage parents of teens. There is no denying that a parent is the number one influence in a child’s life. However, The Bridge Teen Center realizes that in today’s ever-changing world, parents sometimes can use help navigating through the teenage years.

As part of our Community Connections series, we will provide relevant programs focused on the teen years so families can enhance life at home and open up the lines of communication between parents/guardians and students. Currently, we are offering the following parent support programs:

•Monthly topical special seminars
•Topical “round tables” for parents
•A database of local resources for specific crisis/situations
•Referrals for professional counseling
•Supervision during working hours and holidays
•FAFSA/College Financial Aid Clinics

“The hardest part of raising a child is teaching them to ride bicycles. A shaky child on a bicycle for the first time needs both support and freedom. The realization that this is what the child will always need can hit hard.”  -Sloan Wilson
