Music Review: Makshift & MG Bailey

Posted by Priscilla Steinmetz on July 22, 2011 in Student Submission

The local band Makeshift sets themselves apart from other bands in The Bridge summer concert series by covering a wide variety of music genres, like pop, rock, and indy. Makeshift’s range kept surprising the audience! They also incorporated a saxophone player, whose solos were amazing and kept the crowd interested. Each song was very uplifting and you couldn’t help but smile. Makeshift’s music is a nice alternative to everyday radio.

M.G Bailey is a true one man, rock band. I was impressed by his ability to play guitar and drums at the same time, not to mention he was also singing! The crowd was blown away by Bailey’s coordination and appreciated his talent I’m sure that M.G Bailey would be welcomed as a returning guest at The Bridge.
