Most of the time I feel helpless and very bored and despaired with life. I am not diagnosed "Clinically Depressed" but I feel like I am. I have intentionally hurt myself many times and it's becoming more frequent. I don't want to tell my parents, they will not understand, I'm 100% sure. How should I get help?
You have shared feelings that do point to depression and can take you down a bad road! I am very glad you are open to getting help. Self – harming behaviors can become addictive and tend to become worse if they are not addressed. It sounds like you are really struggling with life right now and need someone you can trust. Find a “safe adult” you can confide in such as a school social worker, school counselor, or a trusted family friend or church leader. After talking to you, they may be able to help you get support from your parents in finding professional help. Most professional counselors can see you one time without parental consent. You may want to find such a resource as a beginning step.
